Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about our training programs.

Can I shadow an IC on set?
Shadowing opportunities are reserved for our students in the Apprenticeship Program.
Do I need the 300 hours on film &/TV sets prerequisite?
Yes, the minimum 300 hours or 5 years experience on set is a requirement for applying to ICCs Level 3 program. For more information on the prerequisites for our programs, head to our Pathway to Certification page here.


I have a theatre background, do I need the film &/TV industry experience?
Yes, film experience is required. At this time we are only training for Intimacy Coordination in the film & TV industry, and on set experience is a requirement for training with ICC.

I am Certified by another organization. Can I be on the ICC website?
Yes! Intimacy Coordinators Canada is now offering space in our community for Canadian Intimacy Coordinators trained by other organizations.
Joining the ICC community involves an application process which includes an interview, and a comprehension exam. To start the process, please email team@intimacycoordinatorscanada.com
I started training with another organization. Can I complete training with ICC?
ICC will accept applications from those who have trained elsewhere for the Apprenticeship Program. These applicants must successfully complete a comprehension test along their submitted application.

Does acceptance into the APT Program guarantee my acceptance into the Apprenticeship Program?
No, both the APT and Apprenticeship training programs are by application only and will have separate application processes.
